Solana smart contracts are usually written in Rust but thats not the whole story.

Solana VM can accept different languages, it just takes time to build out the support for it.

We have known for a while now that Move was coming to Solana.

Now we have new info that things are chugging along and that Move on Solana is likely very real and actually gonna make it.

Move is going lots of places.

Here’s my personal bet.

50% of user interactions in all of web3 will be handled by smart contracts written in Move in less than 5 years.

Sui hits 30 Million Daily Transactions

I’d prefer it was a game without a big incentive program to really start bragging but damn 30m is a fun number.

This will be a nice number for Mysten to share with future partners on the capabilities of the blockchain and how different it really is.

Very excited to see this kitty purr under the weight of some real games with real users during a bull market. 😸

Making a Move on Ethereum - Forbes

This is the most “anti-ethereum” I have heard Evan, the CEO of Sui, be publicly.

Not sure if it’s new strategy or just a different interviewer. It’s not terribly harsh so probably not that big of a deal.

Theres a few paragraphs that give some more info into the history of how Move became an open source language, where Evan grew up, and how he got his first big break working on the LLVM at an early job.

It also validates some things we seemingly all know.

Sui’s main target is gaming and making the blockchain be something users don’t have to think or even realize they are using.

For a bear market seems like it’s going pretty well.

Sui has onboarded more games than any blockchain in the last quarter.
