SCION team joins Mysten Labs for a stealth project - Blog

Sui has been trying really hard to be seen as a leader in deep technical expertise and research.

In furthering its goal of “establishing Sui as foundational infrastructure for the next generation of the internet” it has partnered with a team of researchers from Switzerland that have spent the last decade trying to reinvent the internet working on a project called “SCION”

What is SCION?

“SCION is the first clean-slate Internet architecture designed to provide route control, failure isolation, and explicit trust information for end-to-end communication”

The team is coming on as “advisors” and working on an “unnamed” project.

Crossing my fingers for anything that gives Sui a unique value prop for builders compared to other chains. 🤞

The Aptos Registry - Git - Tweet

Groups like Y Combinator made the idea of a “Request For Startups” famous.

Basically they have a list of ideas they like and wish people where building and they make it public.

Aptos is taking a trick out of their playbook and openly telling the community what they think needs to be built and how to get funded to do it.
