Move On MovEx - Blog

Sui’s native DEX called DeepBook was made by a team called MovEx.

The contract was for 2.5 Million Sui.

These tokens are subject to a “lockup” or a date in the future where they can be claimed.

For some reason MovEx broke the contractual agreement and took custody of the tokens before they where allowed too.

Twitter found out.

Sui Foundation investigated and choose to break all ties with MovEx.

We will never know why this all happened but they did return the funds so that they can be released at the proper date.

Maybe it was an accident or misunderstanding.

Maybe Sui’s lawyers are scary af.

Maybe we can turn this into a good thing.

Maybe now DeepBook feels more free and open without an anointed core team and goes more grass roots.

Sui Hackathon Winners Announced - Sui Blog

Sui has hosted a month long virtual hackathon that finished at the Paris builder house.

Lots of cool projects and inspiration for future juggernauts come out of these.
