You might not know it but the entire thesis around a “Move” newsletter is the Move language is going to be everywhere. More proof is here. 💪


Solana has been playing with some Move stuff since before Aptos and Sui even existed but this is finally coming to reality.


Move will probably be one of the big tech narratives in the Solana ecosystem by the time the next bull market comes around.

Updates everywhere. Everyone in Move is BUILDING and Aptos is bringing the devs some new toys. 🤖

View Functions

Easily query complex state. It’s like txn simulation but different.

Both Apto’s and Sui have been building versions of this functionality lately.

New Integer Types [u16, u32, u256]

Cryptography

Added support for SHA2-512, SHA3-512, RIPEMD-160 and Blake2b-256 hashing.


What does this mean?


Honestly not sure. I’m not that guy. What I can say is Move’s inherent structure and all the teams on it have been very focused on bringing more flexible cryptography to the ecosystem.


Flexible cryptography is a big part of cleaning up the user experience and making web3 mainstream.

Aptos is here to replace the cloud

Mo does the most PR in the whole industry. Guys in some mainstream media every week. He recently did a pod with Techcrunch, and to have some balance Avery did some PR too.

Key takeaways from all this talk?


Aptos doesn’t want to kill Ethereum. They are coming for the cloud. Aptos is about hosting the next wave of billion user apps that look and feel like the web2 we are used too.

It’s a good narrative and I’m here for it.

People shouldn’t be having religious wars about which docker orchestration platform their spreadsheets are running on in 2025.
