So I can’t tell if my eyes should be bleeding or I should be moderately optimistic.

It’s hard to tell when under the hood Mastercard is using tech called “CypherTrace”.

The bull case is Mastercard creates a standard and uses their broad customer base to bring lots of regular joes into crypto for regular everyday things. This would be hella good.

Then we can vampire attack them 😉 Jk.

My take is its a bit like, ENS + KYC + Metadata to comply with other government caused paperwork.

Not going to rock “carl.mastercard” on twitter I can tell you that.

As a US citizen I have to admit that If i could yolo tech on chain via some sort of pseudo government informed standard and not worry about being liable for funding terrorists that would be a short term win I’d be willing to tinker with to bring the next billion users on.

If thats what it takes. That’s what it takes.

I’m very curious to see how this interplays conceptually with upcoming announcements with OpenID compatibility on Sui.

I wish I was still a gamer and that Sui was live back then.

I can only imagine how lazy i’d be right now holding my Diablo 2 bags after decades of compound interest.

The web3 gaming narrative has been strong for a long time but in my mind we’ve had approximately zero true success stories.

Can Sui’s parallel transactions and object model turn “web3 gaming” into “just gaming”.

Sure hoping so!
