The 4 TPS narrative to promote a botched Aptos launch is everywhere, even though it's complete farse. Aptos has a big pipe just waiting for a flood of transactions. Who knows the numbers we will see but 4 TPS is a fools narrative. Still, crypto news and low morality people pump it.

The Aptos launch HAS been a bit sketchy. From the tokenomics coming out essentially after the launch and a bit dubious definition of "community" there is a lot that could have been improved. Especially since they had the "space" in the bear market to take time and be wise. This piece does the best job I have seen covering, sanely, the things they could have done better and reflect on the "internet computer" token launch teaching me some new things. Sui, since they are not winning on speed or developer ecosystem currently, can probably win big by having a steady hand, healthy tokenomics, and better communication in comparison to Aptos.
It's pretty popular to be a modular blockchain person right now. Lots of good projects being built by lots of smart people. Celestia ripping on Aptos seems like an easy target this week that pushes their narrative. Solely saying Aptos and Sui are "yet another L1" means you really haven't been paying any attention to the Move smart contract language. Modular Move L2 for Christmas anyone?

Aptos raised at a $2B valuation and failed to make their tokenomics information available at launch.
There is no way this was an oversight.
This was intentional.
