DeepBook: MovEx + Sui CLOB = Very Liquid Public Goods - Tweet

For all the non defi degens CLOB stands for Central Limit Order Book and its how the old world of web2 built financial exchanges.

Crypto 1.0 invented Automated Market Makers, AMM’s, like Uniswap because the constraints of gas and transaction speed made it impossible to bring web2 CLOB’s on chain.

Crypto 2.0 has faster chains that require less gas so the paradigm has switched back to CLOB’s being one of the favorite financial primitives on new blockchains.

Sui opting to have a “native” CLOB is a way for them to improve the very foundations of all financial systems on Sui.

Some people won’t like it but to me it feels wise. It’s also a thing that would be basically impossible to go back and change after mainnet launch.

$100M Move Fund - The Block

Word on the street Evan is raising a $100m+ fund to deploy into web3 startups. Technically its not just Sui centric but one could expect it might have some bias and I welcome it!

Unsure why Evan feels the need to do this but hey this is crypto we all have about 9 side projects right? 🤷

Aptos reduces gas 100x - Tweet

Honestly I can’t hardly tell whats going on here. They are tweeting as if this will 100x decrease gas but that’s just sus in like 5 dimensions.

Important thing is just keep an eye on this if your application is gas sensitive and deploying to Aptos and not in some Aptos Telegram with all the alpha.

Aptos on Unity Game Assets Store - Decrypt

Web2 gaming co’s have not really been into the web3 thing.

In fact they have been actively against it.

Unity made $1.1B in revenue in 2021 so perhaps they where just busy with other things idk.

It looks like Unity is taking a new direction by introducing a “Verified” web3 tools section for its large developer base. Aptos and Solana included.

MoveDAO ( which you’re going to want in on, more details soon ) hosted a super event for everyone in the Move Community. Great panels. Great Vibes.

MoveDAO has been bootstrapped by the team at SupraOracles and is looking like the top credibly neutral gang in MoveLang land.

Sui Builder House was next level with CTF with Ottersec, great talks from the community and updates from core team at Sui Foundation and Mysten Labs.

Aptos is hosting events too but not till this weekend. See you there!
