Bluefin Launches v2 on Sui coming from Arbitrum - CoinDesk
Bluefin is a popular dex on Arbitrum the Ethereum L2.
They have done $1B in trading volume there.
For the launch of their v2 dex they chose Sui.
It says a lot that they spent the time and effort to go and rebuild all of their technology in Move.
They offer CEX like performance on a DEX and look like they have the technical chops and financial backing to make a real interesting product.
They use zkLogin for social login, provide 30ms “optimistic” swaps with sub second finality.
Something only possible on Sui.
This could very well be the home of huge retail trading volumes in the next bull market.
Excited to see a properly decentralized financial future without the need for a wallet on Sui. 🚀

I’m actually a bit confused by this one.
Did they make some market makers happy by buying back some Sui to give away?
Is this just a way to navigate not messing around with token allocations?
Maybe Cex liquidity is just rented anyways?
idk.
Maybe that part of the story is unimportant.
The important part for sure is that there is $50m more now publicly earmarked by the Sui Foundation to incentivize developers.
Incentives matter and $50 million isn’t nothing.
Perhaps this is just the pool of money needed to bridge the gap for builders between now and the next bull market.
Best keep an eye out for next grant round applications!
