Microsoft Partners with Aptos for AI? - News

Aptos isn’t new to big partnerships.

In November they announced a partnership with Google Cloud.

The idea there was on-chain data in BigQuery, making it easy to run validators on GCP, and an accelerator.

Honestly not sure how much of that has happened.

It definitely hasn’t been that splashy post announcement.

So whats the Microsoft partnership all about?

AI.

Well somewhat.

The “Aptos Assistant” is the primary thing mentioned in the announcement and it sounds like a customer support chatbot made for helping users onboard to web3 and help dev’s write good Move code.

I love co-pilot in vscode and using ChatGPT to do dev work.

I really hope they do something novel.

Can we get a Move co-pilot that is up to date with the newest Move code by training on deployed smart contracts and consuming all public code on github?

That would be great.

At a minimum I expect it will get easier to deploy Aptos nodes on Azure.

The rest will be up to focused execution.

Props to Aptos for continuing to bring in big name partners that help bring credibility to web3 for those that are still skeptical.
