Aptos Autumn or FUD Fall? 🤔
Aptos stealthily launched mainnet this last week. CT had a ball. Concerns around Aptos tokenomics, validator set, exit liquidity, you name it. It was pretty entertaining. Lots of it was silly and wrong. 4 TPS? ( silly wrong ) Alameda owns the whole thing? ( silly some wrong ) Personally just excited that the Move Lang is coming to mainnet. How many move vm's will we have by next summer? 5? 10? Going to be fun!

It’s exciting to finally bring Aptos to mainnet.
Acknowledged that it could have gone better. Building a decentralized protocol from the ground up is tough! Aptos is fortunate to have a fantastic community that's constantly evolving together.

the era of creating a new L1 just to test out a new execution environment / VM / lang is over
that’s not how you dev blockchain anymore
if you want to test out a new VM, you build it in a way that can be fraud/validity proven, and then you find a suitable DA layer for it

I worked on Aptos staking, and I’ve been trying to avoiding FUDing Aptos, but I knew posts like this were coming. This is why I stopped building on Aptos 🧵

Given the launch of the latest new shiny L1 chain, it’s good to take a refresher on this
It’s not an EVM fork this time around sure, but you should still understand how the game is played

Couldn't be arsed to look it up, but I bet in its current state, Aptos is a centralized chain controlled by VCs
Dumping tokens on retail at FTX & Binance -> "progressive decentralization"
