$3.4B of fake APT for sale on Upbit - Thread
Upbit is the largest exchange in South Korea.
This last week some scammers managed to trick the exchanges security system and deposit fake APT as real APT into 100k users accounts.
Some of these users sold the “FreeAPTGift” for real money.
Luckily it seems UpBit mostly fixed this asap and no real long term damage was done past what we normally see.
A small blemish for both Upbit and Aptos.
The real learning here is that perhaps not all exchanges are used to managing Move based assets and some holes might exist in the security model that has been battle tested on EVM based assets.

Sui is taking over South Korean Gaming - Decrypt

They just announced a new partnership with NHN the 4th largest gaming co in South Korea.
Thats 3 of the top 4 gaming co’s officially on team Sui.
NHN has 37 million users and focuses on mobile and casino style games.
It’s exciting to think what a L1 with millions of daily users might actually look like.
